Your First Visit

Whenever you stop by for your walk-in appointment, you will be greeted with a warm smile from our dedicated receptionist. From our inception in 1985 to the present day, we always take every step we can to make sure you’re as comfortable and cared for as possible when you visit us at Shelton Veterinary Hospital. You’ll feel the difference that comes with our care from the moment you walk in. This is just one reason some local pet owners have been coming to see us for years!

Walk-in Policy

While some other veterinary practices require you to schedule each appointment in advance, we know that the needs of our clients often arise suddenly. That’s why we’re open Monday through Friday and are happy to accept walk-in appointments during our normal operating hours. If you feel that your pet is overdue for an appointment, you have a question or notice abnormal behavior or pain in your pet, we invite you to stop on by so we can see them right away.


If we have recommended a soft-tissue or orthopedic surgery for your pet, we require scheduling this type of appointment well in advance. These procedures can be more complex and require adequate preparation from our veterinarians, as well as you and your pet.

Please let our front desk know if you have an upcoming surgery scheduled so that we can be sure to book this date!
